Vice President of Project Development and Operations
The Mining Recruitment Group is a boutique executive search firm focused exclusively on the unique requirements of the mining industry.
We are currently seeking applications on behalf of our client, a well known group of publicly traded mineral companies based in Vancouver.
Reporting to the President and C.E.O., the Vice President of Project Development and Operations will be responsible for assisting the group in evaluations of opportunities for acquisition and development from conceptual to full feasibility phases and will provide technical support and input in the areas of budgeting, mine planning, and the overall corporate strategic plan and performance.
The ideal candidate would be a registered Professional Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience within the business and exposure to both open pit and underground settings. The successful candidate must have thorough knowledge within the field of ore body evaluation, modelling and operations. Having strong computer skills and a mastery 3D modelling packages, the incumbent should also have experience reporting to a board of directors and be comfortable working in a team collaborative environment.
