We are currently seeking applications on behalf of our client, a junior precious metals exploration and development company with near term production potential and a high market profile that is based in Vancouver. The Company is positioned extremely well, with a robust treasury and multiple advanced staged projects within their portfolio, all of which are situated in Canada.

Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Exploration will be responsible for the following:

  • Planning and directing the Company’s exploration activities
  • Preparing and implementing a consolidated exploration plan and budget
  • Commissioning and direct supervision of outside consultants and staff
  • Achieving the corporation’s exploration goals on time and within budget
  • Contributing to corporate strategic plan
  • Coordinating and liasing with outside consultants and business partners in achieving exploration goals and identifying opportunities
  • Identifying exploration opportunities consistent with the corporate strategic plan, and assisting in negotiations for the acquisition of such opportunities
  • Assisting in evaluation of opportunities for acquisition and development as required

The ideal candidate would be a registered professional geologist with a minimum of five years work experience as an Exploration Manager or VP Exploration for a junior exploration company. Full cycle experience would be a major asset; with the ideal candidate having worked on exploration, development and producing scenarios as would a working familiarity with archean geology. The successful candidate must be able to forge and maintain business partnerships with joint venture partners, contractors, governments and local communities as well as be able to contribute to presentations to investors and potential investors. The successful candidate should also have experience reporting to a board of directors.
