Iron Ore Exploration and Development Company

Our Client is a public Canadian Company listed on the TSX-V and is also an exploration and development company with an iron ore project that is slated for near term production. Their flagship project is located in Labrador, Canada and the property is also within close proximity to road, railway and hydro power.

Their flagship project currently contains three zones of iron mineralization. Based on drilling conducted to date, two of the Zones may contain 200 to 250 million tonnes with grades between 28% to 34% iron. These grades are analogous to those at Consolidated Thompson’s nearby Bloom Lake Deposit.

An aggressive $7 million program is planned for 2010 on their flagship project. The program will include 20,000 metres of drilling and is designed to delineate approximately 500 million tonnes of iron ore.

In light of this potential, our client has an immediate opening for a Vice President Exploration. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will have enjoyed a successful career with steady progression and ever increasing levels of responsibility within the mineral exploration field. The successful candidate will have no less than fifteen to twenty years of relevant experience and previous experience dealing with the exploration for iron ore deposits is preferred. Knowledge of computer modeling and associated geological software is essential.

The successful candidate will participate as a key member of the Company’s executive team and will lead the Company’s technical, exploration and geological efforts and provide leadership and vision to the Company’s exploration team. The ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences is also imperative. The successful candidate may elect to be located in either Vancouver or Toronto.

Please note, that due to the number of applications we receive, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
