Senior Mining Engineer, Coal Large-Cap Producer Alberta

We are currently seeking applications on behalf of our Client, a large-cap coal producer with one of the biggest open-pit coal operations in Canada for the role of Senior Mining Engineer.

The Senior Engineer for is responsible for supporting the implementation of a “world class” engineering organization. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the incumbent is responsible for providing Engineering, administrative services and technical expertise pertaining to geologic modeling, designing of pits, cost estimates, and equipment selection in accordance with overall company objectives in an economical, safe and environmentally responsible manner within the statutory requirements of the Mines Regulations, Environmental Regulations and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

The successful applicant will have at least 8-10 years experience in mining engineering, with a background in Coal. The incumbent should also be registered in a professional organization, such as APEGGA and be registered as a Professional Engineer.
