With the market turning, MININGRECRUITER is set to launch and we are looking for established mining recruiters or professionals from within the resource sector that are looking to join what will be one of the most dynamic and Client focused brands in the marketplace.

Leveraging the success, contacts and know-how amassed from over a decade in running The Mining Recruitment Group Ltd, MININGRECRUITER plans to hit the ground running in 2017 and has a unique go-to-market strategy that will ensure that our recruiters will be busy adding value to our client companies from day one.

We are looking to put together a global team of recognized recruiters and professionals from within the sector, with a presence in each key mining hub. Through our technology driven platform, our Consultants can work virtually, reporting to our HQ in Vancouver. This opportunity affords the luxury of being able to work primarily from home, though requires the Incumbent to be located in key mining markets to personally meet with Client companies.

MININGRECRUITER is looking to avoid the pitfalls associated with most agency/contingency recruitment firms. Namely the “hard sell”/KPI driven model that is geared more towards pleasing recruitment firm owners and managers as opposed to the clients they are hired to serve. We are looking for professionals that will be with us for the long term. Professionals that bring an understanding of the sector and established connections to the table.  This would appeal to professionals that have been toying with the notion of going out on their own, but still crave the back-office support, infrastructure and brand awareness that an agency provides.  To attract this sort of professional, we offer an industry leading commission structure.

W are looking for established  recruiters from the world of mining that understand all facets of the recruitment cycle and are capable of running a 360 desk to service all senior level and professional roles within the mining sector on a global basis. We are also looking for professionals from within the sector that are eager to put their knowledge and contacts to use that are keen to get into the world of recruitment.  We are looking for polished professionals that work well in a team though relish autonomy.


  • Develop and maintain key Client accounts through your network: how you do so is up to you.
  • Service existing MININGRECRUITER clients or those that come through internal referrals.
  • Develop and maintain a network of key talent potentially available for immediate hire.
  • Develop knowledge related to client needs to effectively target recruitment resources in a professional and efficient manner
  • Work both independently and as a team to drive business and fill key mandates.
  • Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements.
  • Screen and interview qualified candidates.
  • Conduct initial interviews via telephone and face-to-face (depending on the assignment) and define a short-list for client delivery
  • Track all recruitment activities in the company ATS
  • Manages the scheduling and logistics of all interviews between candidates and client/hiring managers.
  • Reviews the hiring manager’s interview feedback with each candidate and take appropriate action when required.
  • Track all recruitment activities in the company ATS
  • Conduct Face to face or web/Skype interview with Candidates prior to submission.
  • Conduct follow up interviews with successful placements during the onset of their contract assignment.

  • Minimum 5 years of recruitment experience in mining or a professional background from within the capital markets or mining sector: geologists, engineers, investors relations, stock brokers- this is you!
  • Professional demeanor with a Market understanding that can gain credibility from Clients and Candidates alike.
  • Initiative, high energy, strong sense of urgency and the ability to handle many projects simultaneously is required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Solid organizational and problem solving skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Proficient with MS (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Outlook required
