The Mining Recruitment Group is currently searching for an established Mine Site Controller to join our Client, a highly-regarded and highly profitable Copper producer in South Central British Columbia.

The Controller is the senior site financial resource; reporting directly to the mine site General Manager and with strong dotted line accountability to the Chief Financial Officer. The Controller will be available to help all functional department heads and assist them with their financial information needs including preparation, assistance with interpretation and guiding the financial decision making process. Responsibilities will include leading the financial staff and being accountable for site level general accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, financial planning, business analysis, payroll, audit (internal and external) functions and financial reporting.

We are seeking candidates with a degree in accounting or business administration along with a professional accounting designation. Experience as a Controller in the Mining industry is essential with an emphasis on cost accounting, reporting and variance analysis, along with a demonstrated proficiency in managing staff. Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada, and willing to relocate to the mine-site.
