In-House Corporate Counsel

The Mining Recruitment Group is a boutique executive search firm focused exclusively on the unique needs of the mining sector.

We have been retained by our Client, a management group that oversees multiple TSX & TSXV listed mineral exploration and development companies, to assist them with their search to identify someone to join them as their sole internal corporate counsel and serve as VP Legal & Corporate Secretary for their portfolio companies.

Reporting directly to the CEO of the group’s companies, the Incumbent will have roughly 5-7 years’ post-call experience obtained from a prestigious firm, with a strong background in securities law and previous exposure working with Mining clients. In this role you will have a wide ranging focus over such areas as corporate governance, financing, corporate / commercial and employment law.

Offering the right ambitious lawyer the chance to move in-house, this opportunity provides terrific job-security as the group oversees the management of multiple companies, though is anchored by a highly-followed, $100m+ market cap development staged mining company that will serve as the main point of focus for the Incumbent.
