General Manager Emerging Mid-Tier Gold Developer California

The Mining Recruitment Group is a boutique executive search firm focused exclusively on the unique requirements of the mining industry.

We are currently seeking applications on behalf of our client, a well established emerging mid-tier gold development company. Our client is looking to take their flagship project, an open-pit gold/silver mine located in California into production within 2 years. With a Bankable feasibility study in place and all necessary permits obtained, development is now aggressively underway.

Reporting directly to the President, the GM will be the key professional on the ground tasked with the oversight off all staff to ensure the smooth transition from development into production.

The incumbent will lead and direct the mine, technical services, processing and maintenance, HR, and on-site accounting departments. They will oversee all operations policies and initiatives and will provide insight/expertise on technical and operational areas.

The incumbent will hold a B.Sc. in mine engineering and have 15 years of related experience, preferably tasked with working in a similar capacity. The successful candidate will hold be a United States citizen or hold a Green Card and be open to relocation to California.
