The Mining Recruitment Group is a boutique executive search firm focused exclusively on the unique requirements of the mining industry.

We are working with a newly focused copper exploration company that has recently acquired a large grouping of properties on a prolific mineral belt in Southern Peru. Previous work on the properties has identified the potential for both porphyry and IOCG style mineralization, of which they are eager to follow up on.  They are seeking a prominent CEO from within the exploration realm to guide their efforts.

Though grassroots in nature, our Client is looking for a CEO with the right mix of deal making savvy to continue to find high-potential opportunities in the region while leading a very active exploration campaign across their portfolio.  They’re looking for a CEO with great connections to The Street that has a successful track record in methodically growing junior resource companies through both discovery and M&A.

The ideal candidate will have a background and familiarity in operating throughout South America in addition to bringing with them a defensible track record at the helm of other highly followed exploration stories.  We have no preconceived notions with respect to the profile of the successful applicant: it could be those with a background in geology, engineering or capital markets, among other profiles.  The focus is on finding a “big name” that has a track record of success in similar roles, experience operating in the region and that can leverage their network to create opportunities for the company and excitement in the markets.
